Advanced Interpreting Immersion: Enrich Your Interpretations with the Power of Depiction II
This course is designed for both Deaf and hearing interpreters working in any setting where advanced ASL discourse strategies are required. The course explores the three vital components of an effective ASL message: advanced non-manual signals, classifiers, and facial grammar. The class will also touch on the basics of educational, mental health, medical, and legal language use and interpretation. The course is beneficial for both native and non- native signers. All students will practice essential skills that improve the confidence, clarity, and quality of ASL translations. Students will get hands-on experience and learn to create more effective and engaging translations.
