No. You may change your vote after submission but you are only allowed one vote. Polls will not be accessible after their deadline has expired.

Yes, you can! Please visit our Member Directory and conduct a search. Once you find an interpreter that fits your needs click on the dropdown below their name to view their profile information or click on their photo to view their complete profile.

How can I be featured in the Member Directory?2019-01-30T23:01:46-04:00

You must be a NAOBI DC member in good standing and create a member account to be featured in our Member Directory. Follow the instructions below to create a new account.

Step 1: Register New Account

To register a new NAOBI DC account, visit naobidc.org/register. Complete the required fields, select your membership level and check the re-captcha box to confirm you’re not a robot. Select the “Register” button and you’re half way there!

Step 2: Activate Account

You will then receive an email to the address you provided asking you to activate your account. Upon activation, you’ll receive one final email confirmation your account is ready to go.

Step 3: Complete Member Profile

Now it’s time to complete your member profile. Completing your profile is key to ensuring those needing interpreters are able to find you in our member directory.

Log in to your account so you see your name in the menu bar. Selecting the dropdown menu next to your name – or hover over your name if viewing on a desktop – and click “View/Update Profile”. At the top of the page you will see a gear – click that gear to complete your profile information making sure to select the checkmark at the top to commit the changes.

How can I get past meeting minutes?2019-01-30T22:30:24-04:00

Minutes can only be viewed by members who are logged into their account. Once you log in your name will appear in the menu bar at the top of the page. Click the dropdown arrow next to your name – or hover over your name if you’re viewing the desktop version – until you see “Member Portal”. Click on the dropdown arrow and you will see “View Minutes“.

Log in to your account and select the “e-Voting” tab which is denoted by a checkmark enclosed by a square box. This can also be found underneath the “Member Portal” dropdown in the menu bar.

After you sign in to your member account your name will appear in the menu bar. In the dropdown menu under your name click “Update Account“. Then, enter your new email address in the box provided and hit “Update Account” to commit the change.

Organizational minutes are only available through our member portal. To access the member portal, you must be a member in good standing and create a member account. Instructions on how to do so can be found here.

The Member Directory connects those needing American Sign Language interpreters with working interpreters of color (ITOCs).

The member directory features all active NAOBI DC members, their interpreting credentials, domains of specialty, service area, educational background and more. Most of our members are active in the DMV region but we do have members who operate outside of the region or are willing to travel depending on the job.

NAOBI DC communicates with its membership in various ways to include email communications. It is important your email address is up-to-date to ensure you are receiving all organizational information in a timely manner.
